I am currently writing a book on the science of dreaming, exploring how our nightly fictions illuminate what matters most to us and how we can use our dreams to improve our everyday lives.

I am the author of The Golden Cell: Gene Therapy, Stem Cells, and the Quest for the Next Great Medical Breakthrough (HarperCollins).

My writing has appeared in various publications, including The Globe and Mail, National Post, Flare Magazine, Reader’s Digest and Calgary Herald.

I have worked as a writer and editor for several publications including National Post Business, Chatelaine, Calgary Herald, and FASHION.

I have taught non-fiction and science writing at The University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies and The University of King’s College.
